The Water Regulations team at Northumbrian Water has recently been accredited by Water Regs UK to train and assess contractors on the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
This training program is tailored to help contractors become Approved external supply pipe installers, gaining the skills necessary to install supply pipes while ensuring compliance with these regulations.
Upon completion of the training, participants can apply to become Approved Groundworkers, with membership in one of these recognized schemes: WIAPS, APLUS, WaterMark, or SNIPEF.
Membership allows you to 'self-certify' installations that comply with the Water Fittings Regulations, streamlining the approval process by eliminating the need for inspections.
Training sessions will be available starting November 2024.
