• what benefits you could receive
• how to claim them
• how your benefits change if you start working

We've supported thousands of our customers with financial help schemes, reduced payment plans and payment breaks. We hope this tool will help more customers get the financial help they need.

How does the calculator work?

The calculator is free and easy to use, taking around 30 minutes to complete. 

As you use the calculator, you'll see a list of common benefits. It will highlight any benefits you may be eligible for.

Northumbrian Water does not provide the calculations or advice offered by Policy in Practice. The calculator will tell you which government benefits you may be entitled to, but it is not a guarantee you will be able to claim those benefits.

The calculator is used to find out which benefits you may be entitled to claim from the government, and is not used to calculate your bills or eligibility for our financial help schemes and tariffs.
